..On Internet and the helplessness-2

..In continuation to my last post ,this one is for those  who have a sense of humor ..(..or at least can appreciate one)..Sad  and morose or compulsively "serious" people can do without it...they are better -off without  reading this conversation between three persons (GG,FG and Mod.) ,an imagined one ,of course , about  what an argument between two persons, one having the power to ban a particular site in  a particular domain (GG ) and the second one ....the site owner (FG, preferably ..of a social networking site) ,would look like. The third one is the moderator (..more or less on the bureaucratic side...having an insight to understand both the sides ..alas! ).
                                       
                                    I, being a very serious fellow ,  ...and having a sense of humor ,  would write it ..for, people who remain compulsively serious (all their lives) never acquire a sense of humor ...but when they take that one more step ahead ...and start taking things lightly , they become VERY serious fellows , and acquire one... 


--It goes like :: 


GG :: ...So,what is your motive here; to generate revenues for yourself OR to create a  public opinion ? ..which one ..
        Mod.: a very relevant question sir ji ..spot on..


FG::  we are providing people with a platform to share their ideas ...Yes ..revenue generation is just   the by-product ; for,every true creator in s/w industry creates his product without revenue 
            generation in mind . 


GG :  You want to feel powerful . Don't you ?


FG:    where did that come from? 


GG :  ..But you are giving today's kids  a  toy to play around with ..many of them don't know even , how far - reaching effect these sites have ..it goes everywhere ..are their childish ideas WORTH going everywhere ?
        
              Mod: hhmm ..ah ..but ..Mr GG ..ah  ok...answer Mr. FG.


FG : ..those ideas are not childish by "our " company's policies . If they are ,we delete the content ...and they are not kids ..they are grown-ups knowing what they are writing ..


GG : In our country , they grow up a little later  than yours . ..and we have our set of rules too..


 FG: what "rules" ?


GG : ..certain code ...which must be followed . 


FG : ..then educate them first ..don't you think you need to work upon insinuating the core values  of your country , inside your youngsters RATHER than bringing the whole  site down ...If  they are  good at following codes ..then there wont be ANY  objectionable content..don't u agree ?

      Silence for a while..


FG : ..which  ,in itself , would be a mark of a dead generation... a non-complaining , a happy go-lucky Mr. Do-Little generation..


       Mod : wo..wo ..aaram se !.. (easy ..) ..don't doubt Mr. GG's intentions for  his own countrymen..especially,the youngsters ..  

GG:  ..It takes time ..  (..for educating all of them )..youth is not ready for such a gadget  here...


FG :    you have an authority to say that ?


GG : Yes . (firmly,in a confident manner ) ..I have . 
             
       Silence again ..


             Mod :: see, the point is that  the EXACT SOURCE of any objectionable content does not get tracked easily..so, if we agree upon some "COMMON CODE OF CONDUCT"  then we can reach a common ground where the objectionable content will be decided by us  and you people will bring it down ..


FG : we can't do that .. we have  OUR set of standards by which we decide which material is objectionable..


GG : ..that's  right .."OURS".. you are talking as if you guys are spreading your own personal  views. well,.. WE HAVE OURS ,TOO...[getting a little agitated]
                    ..badha le dukaan apni ..(close your shop ) ..tell him that , Mr. Mod.


Mod : But, ..Mr. GG.. 


FG :  ..i did not mean to.. your country has millions of users .. the revenues ...what if some  competitor comes along ...and the publicity . .


GG : Now,  you'll say that..haan ? when a celebrity's fake is posted upon any site , the whole site is sued for   millions ...what about  Gods , Goddesses ... celebrities ...here ?


FG : ha-ha ..ye THAT (referring to a particular stunt)   was cheap ..i agree ..but a work of art ,nevertheless ..


GG : ART ?? ..did you say ..a work of art ..how can you say that ..its a cheap copy-paste job on   Photoshop ...Is that your concept of art ?


FG :  ..No..no..i mean ..ye, we'll delete it ..


Mr. Mod :: (sighing peacefully ) ..good ..good ...Now i'll sleep well (..but for how long ,I just wonder)
